Arizona Clean and Beautiful

Arizona Clean & Beautiful, founded in 1985, is a nonprofit, volunteer driven organization dedicated to preserving, maintaining, and enhancing the beauty and environmental quality of Arizona through research, education and the Arizona Affiliate Network. The Board of Directors is comprised of Corporate and Government representatives dedicated to practices that promote “green” philosophies. Arizona Clean & Beautiful is a long-standing affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and is committed to the Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program taking place annually from March 1 through May 31.

As the Arizona affiliate, Arizona Clean & Beautiful supports and assists educational and cleanup programs around the state and coordinates activities with its local affiliates. In addition, it maintains the Litter Hotline to provide motorists with an opportunity to be part of the litter solution. Anyone who sees a motorist littering can report the incident using the Hotline’s phone or computer reporting system. Arizona Clean & Beautiful sends a letter informing the registered owner that someone in their vehicle was observed littering along Arizona’s roadways, and that littering is against the law!

With an eye to the future, Arizona Clean & Beautiful recently partnered with the Challenger Space Center located in the Knight Education Center in Peoria, Arizona. The partnership provides an effective venue for promoting green science and environmental education.
